Virology
Virology is a division of microbiology that studies viruses. For the first time the existence of the virus was proved in 1892 by the Russian scientist DI Ivanovsky. After years of research on diseases of tobacco plants, in a work dated 1892, DI Ivanovskii comes to the conclusion that the mosaic disease of tobacco is caused by "bacteria passing through the Schamberlan filter, which, however, are not able to grow on artificial substrates."
