Ezoterizm, asıl olarak belirli kişilerin içselliği ile sınırlandırılmış felsefî öğretilerdir. Bu öğretiler herkes tarafından bilinen egzoterik öğretiler değil, tam tersine belirli kişilerin aşamalardan geçerek bilmeye hak kazandığı öğretilerdir. Diğer anlamı ise içsel, tinsel farkındalığa sebep olan, Mistisizm ile eşanlamlı kabul edilen önemli ve kesin bilgilerdir. Ayrıca Ezoterizm geniş, farklı öğreti ve pratik yelpazesine sahip olan bir akımdır.
