Gestalt psychology
Gestalt psychology (read Gestalt psychology) is a theory of psychology that focuses on cognitive processes, especially in the areas of "perception" and "perceptual organization". It emerged in Germany in the first half of the 20th century. Gestalt Theory has emerged as a reaction to "behavioral theory" which only learns within the context of the stimulus-response (U-T). Unlike behavioral theory, in which the Heru-T pair is examined independently of each other, it argues that the mind has established a connection (or pattern) between stimuli. For this reason, examination is not "behavior" but "cognitive processes". At the same time, the behaviorist rejects the theory of reductionism of theory; According to Gestalt, it is not the sum of all the parts that make up it, but more. Gestalt Theory attaches great importance to "perception" in cognitive processes and defines laws that guide perceptual organization. All these laws are the derivatives of an upper law called "Pragnanz".
