Apricot
Apricot, 2-10 m high, is a hairs and hairless tree. The leaves are long and pliers, the edges are toothed, the pointed or curved. The flowers are white or pink in color and come before the leaves. It is yellowish-orange plum, with feathers on the fruit. Although apricots are geographically dispersed almost all over the world, they spread to Europe, Central Asia, America, and Africa in countries that are closer to the Mediterranean and found growing areas here. Turkey is in the first place in the production of world wet apricot. Turkey is followed by Spain, Italy, the United States, Iran, France, Greece and the United States. These first group countries are over 100 thousand tons of wet apricot productions. The first group is followed by Morocco, Pakistan, Syria, China, South Africa, Hungary, former Yugoslavia, Romania, Australia. There are 6 apricot regions in Turkey where about 10-15% of the world's wet apricot productions are made.
