Astrometry
Astrometry is a section of astronomy, whose task is to determine the geometric and kinematic characteristics of individual heavenly bodies and their complexes as well as the universe as a whole; the location of the stars in the celestial sphere and in space, the determination of their own movements, the measurement of the diameters of the celestial bodies and the location of the parts on their surface, the determination of geographical coordinates and azimuths on the earth's surface, the measurement of time.
