Pharmacology
Pharmacology ((gr.) Pharmakon - medicine, poison; logos - concept, doctrine) - the science of drugs and their effects on a living organism. This is one of the most ancient sciences that arose with medicine, but the very word pharmacology is mentioned in medical literature since the late 17th century. Pharmacology is divided into a general one, which studies the mechanisms of action of drugs on a living organism, and a private, studying the effect of individual therapeutic drugs on a person or animal.
