Ethiopia
Ethiopian Federal Democratic Republic, known as Ethiopia (Amharic: ኢትዮጵያ 'Ītyōṗṗyā, pronunciation), is a country located in the northeastern Africa, formerly known as the Ethiopian People's Democratic Republic. Formerly known as "Abyssinia". Unlike the general African countries, Ethiopia has remained its ancient monarchy until the second Italian Ethiopian war was encroached by Italy (1936-1941) and has not been devoured by the wave of colonialism. In 1974, a military bloody coup had ruled Ethiopia's emperor Haile Selassie I since the 1930s, and Ethiopia abolished the monarchy for socialism until the end of 1991 and the abandonment of the socialist political system. The African Union (AU) is headquartered in the country's capital, Addis Ababa.
