Groupe Danone is a multinational food company headquartered in Paris, France, and its dairy products are especially famous for yogurt. Danone was founded by Isaac Carraso in Barcelona, Spain in 1919, and its name comes from the founder's son Daniel's nickname. Ten years later, Danone opened the first factory in France, due to the second world war, the company moved to the United States, New York.
