流行性脑膜炎又名流行性脑脊髓膜炎（Epidemic meningitis），简称流脑。冬春季节是此病的高发期，发病高峰一般出现在每年的3月～4月份。如及早发现，及早治疗，本病治愈率较高。流行性脑膜炎，是由脑膜炎双球菌引起的急性传染病。患者最初表现为发热、咳嗽、流涕等感冒症状，与一般的感冒不易区别。有的小儿在上呼吸道感染时期就被控制了，如不能控制，细菌就进入血液循环，形成菌血症。这时表现为高热、恶心、呕吐，皮肤出现瘀点、瘀斑，主要分布于肩、肘、臀等易于受压的部位。病原菌最终可侵及脑膜，发展成脑膜炎，出现脑膜刺激征和顱內压增高，暴发型流脑由于肾上腺皮质出血，可出现急性肾上腺皮质功能不全症状。 C群流行性脑膜炎是C群脑膜炎双球菌传播导致。感染者以高热为首发症状、伴有头痛、全身酸痛、咽痛、咳嗽等，部分病人出现皮肤瘀斑、瘀点，颈部强直、喷射性呕吐等。...
