Cell Biology
Cell biology (cell biology) formerly known as cytology (cytology), is to study the cell morphology, physiological function, cell cycle, cell division, apoptosis, and various organelles and information transmission path of the discipline. The scope of research focuses on microcosm of biology and molecular level. Cell biology studies include a wide variety of specialized cells for highly diverse single-celled organisms such as bacteria and protozoa, as well as multicellular organisms such as humans, plants, and sponges. Cells are the basic unit of life, the specificity of cells determines the individual's particularity, therefore, in-depth study of cells is to reveal the mysteries of life, transformation of life and the key to conquer the disease. Cell biology has become one of the fastest growing contemporary biosciences disciplines and is a compulsory course for biology, agriculture, medicine, animal husbandry, aquaculture and many biologically relevant professions. Since the 1950s Nobel Prize in Physiology and Medicine has been awarded to scientists engaged in cell biology research. ...
