Ambulacral
Ambulacral es un término usado típicamente en el contexto de las partes anatómicas del phylum Echinodermata o clase Asteroidea y Edrioasteroidea. Los equinodermos pueden tener partes ambulacrales que incluyen osículos, placas, espinas y lechones. Por ejemplo, las estrellas de mar o "peces estrella" tienen un surco ambulacral en su lado oral. Este surco ambulacral se extiende desde la boca hasta el final de cada rayo o brazo. Cada ranura de cada brazo a su vez tiene cuatro filas de pies de tubo hueco que pueden extenderse o retirarse. Frente a la ranura ambulacra hay una cresta ambulacral en el lado aboral de cada rayo, conocido como ambulacrum. Estos tienen interambulacra entre ellos.
