Negociación o regateo es un tipo de negociación en la cual el comprador y el vendedor de un bien o servicio disputan el precio que se pagará y la naturaleza exacta de la transacción que tendrá lugar y eventualmente llegará a un acuerdo. La negociación es una estrategia de precios alternativa a precios fijos. Sin embargo, para los bienes costosos vendidos a los compradores desinformados como los automóviles, la negociación puede seguir siendo común. Dickering se refiere al mismo proceso, aunque con una ligera connotación negativa. La negociación es también el nombre elegido para la tercera etapa del modelo Kübler-Ross, aunque no tiene nada que ver con las negociaciones de precios.
