Behaviorismo
Behaviorism, es un acercamiento a la psicología que combina elementos de la filosofía, de la metodología, y de la teoría. Apareció a principios del siglo XX como una reacción a la psicología "mentalista", que a menudo tenía dificultades para hacer predicciones que podrían ser probadas usando métodos experimentales rigurosos. El principio fundamental del conductismo, tal como se expresa en los escritos de John B. Watson, B. F. Skinner y otros, es que la psicología debe preocuparse del comportamiento observable de las personas y los animales, no de los acontecimientos no observables que tienen lugar en sus mentes. La escuela de pensamiento conductista sostiene que los comportamientos como tales pueden describirse científicamente sin recurrir a eventos fisiológicos internos oa constructos hipotéticos tales como pensamientos y creencias. Desde la psicología temprana en el siglo XIX, la escuela de pensamiento conductista corrió simultáneamente y compartió puntos comunes con los movimientos psicoanalíticos y de la Gestalt en la psicología en el siglo XX; Sino que también difería de la filosofía mental de los psicólogos de la Gestalt en formas críticas.
