En biología, la coevolución es "el cambio de un objeto biológico provocado por el cambio de un objeto relacionado". La coevolución puede ocurrir en muchos niveles biológicos: puede ser tan microscópica como las mutaciones correlacionadas entre los aminoácidos en una proteína, o tan macroscópica como covarying rasgos entre las diferentes especies en un ambiente.
