En un sentido algo más místico, la satisfacción puede ser entendida como un estado innato antes de que cualquier juicio intelectual sobre situaciones de la vida haya entrado en el cuadro. Tal vez por eso los niños pequeños son generalmente felices hasta que sus poderes intelectuales -como su habilidad para juzgar lo que es bueno de malo y ser entrenado para aferrarse a los conceptos- empiezan a formarse y entonces comienzan a surgir sus tensiones mentales y emocionales.
