En matemáticas, un crunode o nodo es un punto donde una curva se interseca a sí misma para que ambas ramas de la curva tengan líneas tangentes distintas en el punto de intersección. Un crunode también se conoce como un punto doble ordinario. Para una curva plana, definida como el lugar de los puntos f = 0, donde f es una función suave de las variables xyy que van sobre los números reales, un crunode de la curva es una singularidad de la función f, donde tanto las derivadas parciales como desaparecer. Además, la matriz de Hessian de las segundas derivadas tendrá autovalores positivos y negativos.
