Duna
En geografía física, una duna es una colina de arena construida por el viento o el flujo de agua. Las dunas se presentan en diferentes formas y tamaños, formados por la interacción con el flujo de aire o agua. La mayoría de las clases de dunas son más largas en el lado del barlovento donde la arena es empujada encima de la duna y tienen una cara más corta del "resbalón" en la lee del viento. El valle o valle entre las dunas se llama una holgura. Un "campo de dunas" es un área cubierta por extensas dunas de arena. Los grandes campos de dunas se conocen como ergs.
