Un compromiso o esponsales es una promesa de casamiento, y también el período de tiempo entre una propuesta de matrimonio y un matrimonio, que puede ser largo o trivial. Durante este período, se dice que una pareja es prometida, comprometida, comprometida para casarse o simplemente comprometida.
