En la inteligencia artificial, un algoritmo evolutivo es un subconjunto de la computación evolutiva, un genérico basado en la población metaheuristic algoritmo de optimización. Una EA utiliza mecanismos inspirados en la evolución biológica, tales como reproducción, mutación, recombinación y selección. Las soluciones candidatas al problema de la optimización desempeñan el papel de los individuos en una población, y la función de la aptitud determina la calidad de las soluciones.
