En el baloncesto, un flop es una caída intencional de un jugador después de poco o ningún contacto físico por parte de un jugador contrario para atraer una falta personal de un oficial contra el oponente. El movimiento a veces se denomina actuar, como en "actuar como si estuviera ensuciado". Debido a que es inherentemente diseñado para engañar al funcionario, flopping es generalmente considerado como antideportivo. Sin embargo, es ampliamente practicado e incluso perfeccionado por muchos jugadores profesionales.
