En física, fluencia es el flujo integrado en el tiempo. Para partículas, se define como el número total de partículas que intersecan un área unitaria en un intervalo de tiempo específico de interés, y tiene unidades de m-2. Fluencia también se puede utilizar para describir la energía entregada por unidad de área, en cuyo caso tiene unidades de J / m2. Se considera una de las unidades fundamentales en dosimetría. En la medicina ligera y la odontología, la fluencia, que puede ser más apropiadamente denominada exposición radiante, es una medida de la energía sobre el área.
