Gerontocracia
Una gerontocracia es una forma de regla oligárquica en la que una entidad es gobernada por líderes que son significativamente mayores que la mayoría de la población adulta. Los antiguos griegos estuvieron entre los primeros en creer en esta idea de las gerontocracias, como afirmó famosamente Platón, "es para el hombre mayor gobernar y para los más jóvenes someterse".
