La obstrucción puede ser causada por: ▪ Obstrucción física de las vías respiratorias por un cuerpo extraño. ▪ Enfermedades respiratorias que implican obstrucción de las vías respiratorias. ▪ Compresión de la laringofaringe, la laringe o la tráquea vertebrada en estrangulación.
