Kublai Khan
Kublai Khan, nacido Kublai y también conocido por el nombre del templo Shizu, fue el quinto Khagan de los Uls mongoles Ikh, reinando de 1260 a 1294, y el fundador de la Dinastía Yuan, una división del Imperio Mongol. Kublai era el cuarto hijo de Tolui y un nieto de Genghis Khan. Sucedió a su hermano mayor Möngke como Khagan en 1260, pero tuvo que derrotar a su hermano menor Ariq Böke en la guerra civil de Toluid que duró hasta 1264. Este episodio marcó el principio de la desunión en el imperio.
