La línea Mason-Dixon fue examinada entre 1763 y 1767 por Charles Mason y Jeremiah Dixon en la resolución de una disputa fronteriza entre colonias británicas en la América colonial. Sigue siendo una línea de demarcación entre cuatro Estados Unidos, formando parte de las fronteras de Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware y Virginia Occidental.
