Meronymy
Meronimia es una relación semántica utilizada en lingüística. Un merónimo denota una parte constitutiva de, o un miembro de algo. Es decir, "X" es un meronym de "Y" si Xs son partes de Y, o "X" es un meronym de "Y" si Xs son miembros de Y. Por ejemplo, "finger" es un meronym de "mano "Porque un dedo es parte de una mano. Del mismo modo, "ruedas" es un merónimo de "automóvil". Meronimia es lo opuesto a la holonimia. Un concepto estrechamente relacionado es el de la merología, que se ocupa específicamente de las relaciones parte / todo y se utiliza en la lógica. Se expresa formalmente en términos de lógica de primer orden. Una meronimia también puede considerarse un orden parcial. Un meronio significa parte de un todo. Una palabra que denota un subconjunto de lo que otra palabra denota es un hipónimo. En los lenguajes de representación del conocimiento, la meronimia se expresa a menudo como "parte de".
