Necrofilia
La necrofilia, también llamada thanatophilia o necrolagnia, es la atracción sexual a los cadáveres. Se clasifica como una parafilia por el Manual de Diagnóstico y Estadística de la Asociación Americana de Psiquiatría. La palabra se deriva de las palabras griegas: νεκρός y φιλία. El término fue acuñado por el alienista belga Joseph Guislain, quien lo utilizó por primera vez en una conferencia en 1850. Rosman y Resnick revisaron la información de 34 casos de necrofilia describiendo las motivaciones de los individuos para sus comportamientos: estos individuos reportaron el deseo de poseer un no- Reunión con una pareja romántica, atracción sexual a los cadáveres, consuelo o superación de los sentimientos de aislamiento, o buscar la autoestima expresando poder sobre una víctima de homicidio.
