Néctar
El néctar es un líquido rico en azúcar producido por las plantas en las glándulas llamadas nectarios, ya sea dentro de las flores con las que atrae a los animales polinizadores, o por nectarios extraflorales, que proporcionan una fuente de nutrientes a los mutualistas animales, que a su vez proporcionan protección antiherbívora.
