El "onboarding", también conocido como socialización organizacional, se refiere al mecanismo mediante el cual los nuevos empleados adquieren los conocimientos, las habilidades y los comportamientos necesarios para convertirse en miembros efectivos de la organización e iniciados. Las tácticas utilizadas en este proceso incluyen reuniones formales, conferencias, videos, materiales impresos o orientaciones basadas en computadoras para introducir a los recién llegados a sus nuevos empleos y organizaciones.
