El pesimismo es un estado de ánimo en el que uno anticipa resultados indeseables o cree que el mal o las dificultades en la vida superan a los bienes o lujos. Los pesimistas filosóficos son a menudo niilistas existenciales creyendo que la vida no tiene ningún significado o valor intrínseco.
