Fasor
En física e ingeniería, un vector de fase, o fasor, es una representación de una función sinusoidal cuya amplitud, frecuencia y fase son invariantes en el tiempo. Es un subconjunto de un concepto más general llamado representación analítica. Los fasores separan las dependencias de A, ω y θ en tres factores independientes. Esto puede ser particularmente útil porque el factor de frecuencia es a menudo común a todos los componentes de una combinación lineal de sinusoides. En estas situaciones, los fasores permiten que esta característica común sea tenida en cuenta, dejando sólo las características A y θ. El resultado es que la trigonometría se reduce al álgebra, y las ecuaciones diferenciales lineales se convierten en algébricas. Por lo tanto, el término fasor suele referirse a esos dos factores. En los textos antiguos, un fasor también se conoce como un sinor.
