La cordillera Pindus se encuentra en el norte de Grecia y al sur de Albania. Tiene una longitud aproximada de 160 km y una altura máxima de 2.637 m. Debido a que se extiende a lo largo de la frontera de Tesalia y Epiro, la gama Pindus es a menudo llamado la "columna vertebral de Grecia".
