Gusano pigmeo
Los zorzales pigmeos son una familia de pequeños zorzales que juntos forman la familia marsupial Burramyidae. Las cinco especies existentes de oposum pigmeo se agrupan en dos géneros. Cuatro de las especies son endémicas de Australia, con una especie que también ocurre en Papua Nueva Guinea e Indonesia. Las zarigüeyas de pigmeos varían en longitud de aproximadamente 5 a 12 cm, y por lo general pesan entre 10 y 50 gramos. Son nocturnos y omnívoros, viven de una dieta de invertebrados, frutos, semillas, néctar y polen. Son excelentes escaladores, debido en parte a sus colas prehensile. Aunque no pueden deslizarse como algunas otras especies de zarigüeyas, algunas especies son capaces de saltar largas distancias. Conservation International y el Instituto de Ciencias de Indonesia informaron sobre el posible descubrimiento de una nueva especie de gusano de Cercartetus en visita a las montañas de Foja en junio de 2007.
