Rolamite es una tecnología para cojinetes de fricción muy baja desarrollado por Sandia National Laboratories en la década de 1960. Inventado por el ingeniero de Sandia Donald F. Wilkes y patentado por él el 24 de junio de 1969, estos dispositivos utilizan una banda de metal estresado y rodillos contrarios a la rotación dentro de un recinto para crear un dispositivo de cojinete lineal que pierde muy poca energía a la fricción. Una fuente afirma que es la única invención mecánica básica del siglo XX. Las pruebas de Sandia indicaron que los mecanismos Rolamite demostraron coeficientes de fricción tan bajos como 0.0005, un orden de magnitud mejor que los rodamientos de bolas en ese momento.
