Tontine
Una tontina / tnntin / es un plan de inversión para recaudar capital, ideado en el siglo XVII y relativamente difundido en los siglos XVIII y XIX. Combina características de una renta colectiva y una lotería. Cada suscriptor paga una suma acordada al fondo, y luego recibe una anualidad. A medida que los miembros mueren, sus acciones se trasladan a los demás participantes, por lo que el valor de cada anualidad aumenta. A la muerte del último miembro, el régimen queda en suspenso.
