Afrikaner
Los Afrikaners son los parientes de colonos holandeses y hugonotes franceses que ocupan la región al sur de África. También se les conoce como Boer, que significa "campesino" en afrikaans. A principios de 1800, la población Afrikaner fue conducida por colonos británicos al interior. La migración a este interior se conoce como Groot Track y el grupo migratorio es conocido como voortrekkers del explorador Boer. Debido a que están separados de la influencia europea, este grupo adapta los elementos africanos y desarrolla su propia cultura e idioma. El primer reino Afrikaner se llamó Zuid-Afrikaansche Republiek o la República de Sudáfrica ubicada en el estado de Transvaal y su capital era Pretoria. Pero después de la guerra con los británicos, la república se disolvió oficialmente en 1900. Las naciones afrikaners ahora se llaman tribus blancas en el continente africano.
