Kazimierz Bein - Oftalmólogo polaco, activista y traductor de Esperanto, conocido bajo el seudónimo de Kabe. Kabe fue famoso por traducir la novela de Esperanto La depresión de Waclaw Sieroszewski, que apareció en 1904. Entre las obras que tradujo están el faraón Boleslaw Prus y los padres e hijos de Ivan Turgenev. Desde 1906 fue vicepresidente de la Academia de Esperanto. También creó uno de los primeros diccionarios de Esperanto: Vortaro de Esperanto. En 1911, por razones desconocidas, Bein repentinamente renunció a su actividad de Esperanto. De su apodo vino el verbo Esperanto kabei que significa el abandono de Esperanto por un activista activo.

Kazimierz Bein – polski okulista, działacz esperancki i tłumacz, znany pod pseudonimem Kabe. Kabe zdobył sławę tłumaczeniem na esperanto powieści Dno nędzy Wacława Sieroszewskiego, które ukazało się w 1904. Wśród dzieł, które przetłumaczył znajdują się między innymi Faraon Bolesława Prusa i Ojcowie i dzieci Iwana Turgieniewa. Od 1906 był wiceprzewodniczącym Akademii Esperanta. Stworzył również jeden z pierwszych słowników esperanckich: Vortaro de Esperanto. W 1911 z nieznanych przyczyn Bein nagle zrezygnował z dalszej działalności esperanckiej. Od jego pseudonimu powstał w esperanto czasownik kabei oznaczający porzucenie esperanta przez aktywnego działacza.
