Salep es polvo de la subespecie de muchas especies de la familia Orchidaceae, y la bebida producida a partir de allí. Además, el nombre general dado a las especies de orquídeas en Anatolia. De la familia de Salepgiller; una planta herbácea enraizada en alambre. Hay 2 bultos en la raíz. Estos huevos contienen polisacáridos tipo almidón glucomanano compuestos dados. El cuerpo es vertical y cilíndrico. Las flores están en forma de racimos o espigas.

Gövdesi, dik ve silindirimsidir. Çiçekleri salkım veya başak şeklindedir.
