Obligation admissible
Une obligation obligataire est un type d'obligation qui permet à l'émetteur de l'obligation de conserver le privilège de racheter la caution à un certain moment avant que la dette n'atteigne sa date d'échéance. En d'autres termes, à la date de l'appel, l'émetteur a le droit, mais pas l'obligation, de racheter les obligations des porteurs d'obligations à un prix d'appel défini. Techniquement parlant, les obligations ne sont pas vraiment achetées et détenues par l'émetteur mais sont annulées immédiatement. Le prix de l'appel dépassera habituellement le prix d'émission ou d'émission. Dans certains cas, principalement dans le marché de la dette à haut rendement, il peut y avoir une prime d'appel substantielle. Ainsi, l'émetteur a une option qu'il paye en offrant un taux de coupons plus élevé. Si les taux d'intérêt sur le marché ont diminué au moment de la date d'appel, l'émetteur sera en mesure de refinancer sa dette à un niveau moins élevé et sera donc incité à appeler les obligations qu'elle a émises à l'origine. Une autre façon de regarder cette interaction est que, au fur et à mesure que les taux d'intérêt diminuent, le prix des obligations augmente; Par conséquent, il est avantageux d'acheter les obligations à la valeur nominale. Avec un emprunt obligataire, les investisseurs bénéficient d'un coupon supérieur à celui qu'ils auraient eu avec un cautionnement non remboursable.
