Categorization

La catégorisation est le processus dans lequel les idées et les objets sont reconnus, différenciés et compris. La catégorisation implique que les objets sont regroupés en catégories, généralement à des fins spécifiques. Idéalement, une catégorie illumine une relation entre les sujets et les objets de la connaissance. La catégorisation est fondamentale dans le langage, la prédiction, l'inférence, la prise de décision et dans toutes sortes d'interactions environnementales.
