Les comiques souterrains sont de la petite presse ou des bandes dessinées auto-publiées qui sont souvent socialement pertinentes ou de nature satirique. Ils diffèrent de la bande dessinée traditionnelle en décrivant le contenu interdit aux publications générales de l'Autorité du code des bandes dessinées, y compris l'utilisation explicite de drogues, la sexualité et la violence. Ils ont été les plus populaires aux États-Unis entre 1968 et 1975 et au Royaume-Uni entre 1973 et 1974.
