1. 文化大革命 2. 文革 La Grande révolution culturelle prolétarienne, connue sous le nom de Révolution culturelle, était un mouvement social-politique qui a eu lieu en République populaire de Chine de 1966 à 1976. Mis en mouvement par Mao Zedong, alors président de Le Parti communiste de Chine, son objectif déclaré était d'imposer le communisme dans le pays en supprimant les éléments capitalistes, traditionnels et culturels de la société chinoise et pour imposer l'orthodoxie maoïste au sein du Parti. La Révolution a marqué le retour de Mao Zedong à une position de pouvoir après le Great Leap Forward échoué. Le mouvement a paralysé la Chine politiquement et a considérablement affecté le pays sur le plan économique et social. La révolution a été lancée en mai 1966. Mao a allégué que les éléments bourgeois infiltraient le gouvernement et la société dans son ensemble, visant à rétablir le capitalisme. Il a insisté pour que ces «révisionnistes» soient supprimés par une lutte de classe violente. Les jeunes de Chine ont répondu à l'appel de Mao en formant des groupes de la garde rouge à travers le pays. Le mouvement s'est répandu dans les militaires, les travailleurs urbains et le leadership du Parti communiste lui-même.
