La maladie de couverture, ou la dourine (français, de la darina arabe, signifiant mangy (dit d'un chameau féminin), féminin de darin, c'est-à-dire sale), est une maladie des chevaux et d'autres membres de l'équidé de la famille. La maladie est causée par Trypanosoma equiperdum, qui appartient à un genre important de protozoaires parasites, et est le seul membre du genre qui se propage par les rapports sexuels. La survie de la dourine est notifiable dans l'Union européenne en vertu de la législation de l'OIE. Il n'y a actuellement aucun vaccin et bien que les signes cliniques puissent être traités, il n'y a pas de remède.
