Choc électrique
Un choc électrique survient lors du contact d'une partie du corps avec toute source d'électricité qui cause un courant suffisant à travers la peau, les muscles ou les cheveux. Typiquement, l'expression est utilisée pour décrire une exposition préjudiciable à l'électricité. De très petits courants peuvent être imperceptibles. Un plus grand courant passant par le corps peut rendre impossible à une victime de choc de laisser tomber un objet énergisé. Des courants encore plus importants peuvent provoquer une fibrillation du cœur et endommager les tissus. La mort causée par un choc électrique est appelée électrocution.
