Eubée
Eubée est la deuxième plus grande île grecque dans la région et la population, après la Crète. Le étroit estreit d'Euripus le sépare de la Béotie en Grèce continentale. En général, il s'agit d'une longue et étroite île en forme d'hippocampe; Il mesure environ 150 kilomètres et varie de 50 kilomètres à 6 kilomètres. Sa direction générale est du nord-ouest au sud-est, et elle est traversée sur toute sa longueur par une chaîne de montagnes, qui fait partie de la chaîne qui délimite la Thessalie à l'est et se poursuit au sud d'Eubée dans les hautes îles d'Andros, de Tinos et de Mykonos .
