Gautama Bouddha
Gautama Bouddha, également connu sous le nom de Siddhārtha Gautama, Shakyamuni, ou tout simplement le Bouddha, était un sage sur les enseignements du bouddhisme fondé. Né dans la république de Shakya dans les contreforts de l'Himalaya quelque temps entre les sixième et quatrième siècles av. J.-C., Bouddha signifie «réveillé» ou «l'éclairé». Le «Bouddha» est également utilisé comme titre pour le premier être éveillé dans une époque.
