Gothicismus
Le gothisme, le gothisme ou le gothisme est le nom donné à ce qui a été considéré comme un mouvement culturel en Suède, centré autour de la croyance en la gloire des ancêtres suédois, initialement considérés comme les Geats, qui ont été identifiés avec les Goths. Les fondateurs du mouvement étaient Nicolaus Ragvaldi et les frères Johannes et Olaus Magnus. La croyance a continué à tenir le pouvoir au 17ème siècle, alors que la Suède était une grande puissance à la suite de la Guerre de Trente Ans, mais a perdu la majeure partie de sa domination au 18ème. Il a été revitalisé par le romantisme national au début du 19ème siècle, cette fois avec les Vikings comme figures héroïques.
