Crambidae
Les Crambidae sont la famille des Lépidoptères de la mite de l'herbe. Ils sont assez variables en apparence, la sous-famille nominale Crambinae adopte des postures étroitement pliées sur les tiges d'herbe où elles sont discrètes, tandis que d'autres sous-familles comprennent des insectes aux couleurs vives et à motifs qui reposent dans des attitudes à l'écart des ailes. Dans de nombreuses classifications, les Crambidae ont été traités comme une sous-famille des Pyralidae ou des moutons. La principale différence est une structure dans les oreilles appelée praecinctorium, qui rejoint deux membranes tympaniques dans les Crambidae et est absente des Pyralidae. La dernière critique de Munroe et Solis, à Kristensen, conserve le Crambidae en tant que famille entière.
