Interrogatif
Interrogatif est un terme utilisé dans la grammaire pour se référer à des fonctionnalités qui forment des questions. Ainsi, une phrase interrogative est une phrase dont la forme grammaticale indique qu'il s'agit d'une question. On dit parfois que de telles phrases présentent une ambiance interrogative - traitant donc l'interrogatif comme l'un des états d'esprit grammaticaux, en particulier un type d'humeur épistémique. Cela s'applique en particulier aux langues qui utilisent différentes formes verbales inflexes pour poser des questions. Les phrases interrogatives peuvent servir de questions oui-non ou de questions, ce dernier étant formé à l'aide d'un mot interrogatif tel que qui, qui, où ou comment spécifier l'information requise. Différentes langues ont différentes façons de former des questions, y compris l'utilisation d'un ordre de mots différent et l'insertion de particules interrogatives. Les questions sont également fréquemment marquées par l'intonation, en particulier un modèle d'intonation croissante - dans certaines langues, cela peut être la seule méthode pour distinguer une question oui-sans d'une déclaration déclarative.
