Jejunostomie
Jejunostomie est la création chirurgicale d'une ouverture à travers la peau à l'avant de l'abdomen et la paroi du jéjunum. Il peut être effectué soit par voie endoscopique, soit par une chirurgie formelle. Une jejunostomie peut être formée suite à une résection intestinale dans les cas où il est nécessaire de contourner l'intestin grêle distal et / ou le côlon dû à une fuite intestinale ou à une perforation. Selon la longueur du jéjuné réséqué ou contourné, le patient peut avoir un syndrome du côlon court résultant et nécessiter une nutrition parentérale. Une jejunostomie est différente d'un tube d'alimentation jéjunale qui est une alternative à un tube d'alimentation en gastrostomie couramment utilisé lorsque l'alimentation entérale gastrique est contre-indiquée ou comporte des risques importants. L'avantage par rapport à une gastrostomie est son faible risque d'aspiration en raison de son placement distal. Les inconvénients comprennent l'obstruction du intestin grêle, l'ischémie et l'exigence d'une alimentation continue.
